LYANCO'S transfer to Besiktas has collapsed due to a change in the terms of the agreement proposed to Saints, the Daily Echo understands.
The Brazilian defender had flown to Istanbul to complete his transfer to the 16-time Super Lig transfer, but will now head back to England.
Speaking to Turkish media upon his arrival in Istanbul, the 26 year old said: "I am happy to be here and I'm excited to start."
However, Lyanco is now expected to return to Southampton training on Monday after the deal has fallen through.
Lyanco has started both of Russell Martin's pre-season games and would have become the third player to depart St Mary's on a permanent transfer this summer.

The Southampton manager has recently spoken about how the club financially need to offload players in order to make room for new signings.
He said: "We are having to be patient in a way because we do have to lighten the load, not purely just for training but financially as well for the club.
Lyanco joined Saints in 2021 and has since played 48 times for the club during his two-year stint on the south coast.
