SAINTS under-21s will begin their Premier League 2 season with a trip to Newcastle United on Sunday, August 13.

Saints compete in a restructured Premier League 2 format this season, defined as the 'Swiss model'. Each side plays 20 matches, followed by play-offs.

After a trip to Tyneside on opening day, Saints will then have back-to-back home matches against Aston Villa and Liverpool.

Southampton’s run-in, before any potential play-offs, sees away trips to Norwich and Chelsea either side of a home meeting with Nottingham Forest.
