SAINTS defender Armel Bella-Kotchap has completed a shock loan move to PSV Eindhoven, as reported by the Daily Echo.
Bella-Kotchap saw a loan with a view to a permanent move to German champions Bayern Munich fall through on deadline day.
The 21 year old German international was hoping to join Bayern but the deal was not completed in time for the 5PM deadline.
However, he now joins Eredivisie side PSV, who have qualified for the Champions League.
The Dutch outfit are coached by Peter Bosz and have been drawn alongside Sevilla, Arsenal and Lens in the UCL.
Bella-Kotchap made 26 appearances across all competitions during his first season at Southampton.
The German defender is yet to make an appearance under Russell Martin but was involved in a behind-closed-doors friendly against Brentford as he works back from injury.
The St Mary’s side have already signed Manchester City product Taylor Harwood-Bellis, on a deal that becomes permanent in the event of promotion, in Bella-Kotchap’s position.
The clubs' statement added: "We wish Armel well for the rest of the campaign."
