SAINTS have won their appeal on Kamaldeen Sulemana’s red card and the winger will be in the squad for the visit of Ipswich Town.
The 21 year old was sent off by referee Bobby Madley for perceived high studs in added time of Friday’s 4-1 home defeat to Leicester City.
It was Kamaldeen’s first appearance of the season after a lengthy injury layoff that meant he took no part in pre-season matches.
Ghanian international Kamaldeen was set for three matches suspended as a result of the straight red card but the club have appealed Madley’s decision.
Martin labels the appeal’s success as “good news” with Kamaldeen now set to feature again against Ipswich Town on Tuesday evening.
However, Martin could be without on-loan midfielder Flynn Downes, who went off injured early in the second half against Leicester.
Martin confirmed: “Flynn Downes has come off and he’s touch and go for tomorrow, but it’s not going to be a long one.”
Polish defender Jan Bednarek missed the loss to Leicester after an injury on international duty but has been cleared to return to the squad for the next match.
