SAINTS manager Russell Martin made significant changes to his team that ended a four-match losing run against Leeds United on Saturday.

The St Mary's side recorded a 3-1 win after blowing away the visitors in the first half of the fixture with a midfield diamond.

Charly Alcaraz, Stuart Armstrong and Kamaldeen Sulemana were among the changes but Martin this week admitted he will have to rotate due to fitness.

Saints face Stoke City on a likely cold, wet and windy Tuesday night in Stoke just days after beating their promotion challengers.

Here is how we think Martin could line up his side this evening...

Goalkeeper

Gavin Bazunu’s distribution was excellent against Leeds and Martin’s backing of the Irish international is beginning to pay dividends.

Daily Echo:

Defenders

It seems we have finally reached a settled back four. Kyle Walker-Peters and Ryan Manning will be the full-backs tonight.

Taylor Harwood-Bellis and Jan Bednarek were both impressive on Saturday and look to be forming a solid partnership after early struggles.

Daily Echo:

Midfielders

Shea Charles was unlucky to be benched on Saturday but it was what the change in system required. If Martin goes back to 4-3-3, he could retake his starting role.

Midfielders Flynn Downes and Will Smallbone are trusted by Martin and will likely start again at Bet365 stadium as their fitness builds.

Daily Echo:

Attackers

Adam Armstrong and Kamaldeen Sulemana were the stand-out performers on either wing in the win at St Mary’s on Saturday and offer potency in attack.

Charly Alcaraz could be tasked to play through them again in a slightly different role but he may not be ready for another 90 with Che Adams well rested and ready to go.

Daily Echo:

Full predicted team:

Bazunu; Walker-Peters, Harwood-Bellis, Bednarek, Manning; Charles, Downes, Smallbone; A Armstrong, Kamaldeen, Adams.
