EMMA Allen, a PGA trainee professional at the Ageas Bowl’s Boundary Lakes Golf Course, is hoping to earn her ticket to play at the highest level of professional golf.
Allen will attend Q-School in Morocco from 6-21 December to try and attain her Ladies European Tour (LET) card.
This comes after a successful couple of years at WPGA level and she hopes she will take the next big step in Morocco. Q-School is an annual tournament that gives golfers a chance to obtain a tour card.
These provide players access to most of the upcoming tour’s events, without a need to qualify for each one individually.
Professional and amateur golfers from across the globe will be present at the Lalla Aicha Qualifying School in Marrakech, hoping to secure a life-changing place on the 2024 LET.
Looking ahead to the tournament, Allen said: “My dream has always been to play at the highest level of professional golf, and hopefully this December I will make this dream a reality.”
Allen is undertaking a 3-year PGA degree at the Southampton-based golf club and hopes to teach golf once she is a full professional, alongside competing for herself at the very top of the game.
Her notable achievements include holding the WGPA Order of Merit and National Championship titles for two years in a row, and coming runner-up at the Rose Ladies Series at West Lancs GC.
She has won International and European Championship titles with the England National squad at junior and senior level.
By the time she was 15, Allen had won the Junior and Ladies County Championships, becoming the youngest person to do so.
She then turned professional in 2022, having represented Hampshire at amateur level from the age of 15-21.
Shaun Hall, director of golf at Boundary Lakes, couldn’t be prouder, stating: “Emma is a key member of the team.
"She brings so much personality and is constantly working hard at her game. We wish her the best of luck this December and can’t wait to see what 2024 brings for her.”
