SAINTS duo Sam Amo-Ameyaw and Jayden Meghoma helped England to a dramatic late win against Iran at the Under-17 World Cup in Indonesia.
The pair were named on the bench alongside fellow Southampton youngster Tyler Dibling but he remained on the bench throughout the game.
England went 1-0 down in the 31st minute through Abdolfazl Ahmadabad but they drew themselves level when Chelsea's Reiss-Alexander Russell-Denny equalised after 63 minutes.
Ryan Garry brought on Amo-Ameyaw and Meghoma in the 76th minute as his side tried to find a late winner.
Amo-Ameyaw went close with 10 minutes remaining but his effort hit the side-netting after a great team move.
He was then involved in the winning goal when his run caused the ball to find its way to Manchester City's Joel Ndala and he curled in a fine finish.
The young side are now top of Group C with a maximum of six points and they will play their final group game against Brazil on Friday. A point will be enough for the Young Lions to qualify for the round of 16.
