FORMER Saints defender Maya Yoshida is training at Staplewood during the MLS post-season break.
The 35 year old is currently contracted to LA Galaxy, having joined the side in August, signing a contract until the end of the 2024 season.
His side finished the regular season 13th in the Western Conference, which saw them miss out on the MLS playoffs, the format used to determine the league's eventual champions.
With his season now over, Yoshida has returned to the south coast to train with Southampton to keep up his fitness.

The Japanese defender spent 8 years at St Mary's between 2012 and 2020, amassing 194 appearances for the club over that time.
He featured in the side which competed in the 2016-17 Europa League, starting in defence as Saints beat Inter Milan 2-1 at St Mary's.
Upon leaving the club he played for Sampdoria in Serie A and Schalke in the Bundesliga before switching to the MLS earlier this year.
