SAINTS have been named among a trio of Championship clubs reportedly interested in loaning Celtic forward Liel Abada.
The 21 year old Israeli international scored once in three Scottish Premiership starts before an injury earlier this season.
Abada had been ruled out between September and the end of 2023 with a torn thigh muscle but made his return recently.
The young winger came on as a late substitute in Celtic's win over Rangers on December 30, racking up a further 27 minutes in their next outing.
Signed from Israeli outfit Maccabi Petah Tikva in 2021, Abada went on to net 10 goals in both of his first two Premiership seasons.
The Daily Mail report that Saints, West Brom and Watford have all identified Abada as a 'loan target' in the January window.
The report adds that Abada has found the last few months "challenging" and could review his situation with a six-month loan.
Clubs in France's Ligue 1 and the German Bundesliga are also said to be interested in the right-footed 10-cap man.
Brendan Rodgers previously praised the winger upon his return to action: "He’s a very young guy so he needs help and support. I’m there for him.
"You’ll never be the player’s best friend but there are times when you have to show that side which gives them a bit of comfort and confidence to keep going.
"He’s settled and happy here now."
Saints are in the market for a further attacking addition this month but will do so only on their terms due to Financial Fair Play constraints.
Russell Martin's side have also shown interest in Burnley's Manuel Benson and AFC Bournemouth's David Brooks.
