SAINTS are reportedly monitoring Coventry City star Callum O'Hare ahead of the midfielder's contract expiring this summer.
Key man O'Hare, 25, could depart the Midlands outfit on a free transfer when his current deal expires in June.
The former England youth international has scored five goals and provided one assist - against Saints - since returning from injury in October.
O'Hare, a graduate of Aston Villa's academy, missed most of last campaign with an ACL injury but has immediately become integral for Mark Robins again.
The attacking midfielder is considered one of the best players in the Championship but there has been no sign of him signing a new deal at Coventry.
The Daily Mail report that Saints, Leicester City and Burnley are monitoring O'Hare - as well as clubs in Spain's La Liga.
Saints could be in the market for a new midfield 10 in the summer should Stuart Armstrong leave the club when his current contract expires.
Given the reported interest in O'Hare, it is likely he has Premier League opportunities on the table and that could be a factor in his final decision.
O'Hare was man of the match in Southampton's 1-1 draw at Coventry in December and has helped his side into the Championship's top six.
