SAINTS midfielder Joe Aribo's Nigeria have progressed to the semi-finals of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
Nigeria beat Angola 1-0 on Friday evening to book their place in the final four for the first time since 2019.
Former Leicester and Everton forward Ademola Lookman scored the winner for Jose Peseiro's side.
Star striker Victor Osimhen thought he had doubled their lead when he headed home, but the goal was chalked off after a VAR check.
Aribo, 27, was introduced in the 87th minute, in place of the injured Frank Onyeka, for his third appearance of the tournament.
Loaned out striker Paul Onuachu also made a late substitute appearance, coming on in place of Osimhen after the Napoli forward went down with a knock.
Nigeria will face the winner of Cape Verde vs South Africa which takes place on Saturday, February 3.
The semi-finals are scheduled to take place on Wednesday, February 7.
