SAINTS Foundation is in the spotlight when Southampton welcome Sunderland to St Mary’s on Saturday.

The Saints Foundation Matchday is an annual fixture in the season calendar dedicated to celebrating and fundraising.

As previously announced, Saints Foundation will appear front of shirt for the game, with the match-worn shirts auctioned off post-game with 100% of profits going to the Foundation.

Phil Parsons, CEO of Saints, said: “We saw the impact of Saints Foundation first-hand last week at their Charity Dinner, where three incredible individuals shared how our club charity has helped transform their lives.

“With lots of ways to get involved at the weekend, I know our fans will rally behind our Foundation and cheer on the Saints scoring goals out in the community, as well as those on the pitch.”

Greg Baker, CEO of Saints Foundation, added: “We’re excited and honoured to be in the spotlight this weekend for what will be a very special game for hundreds of Saints Foundation participants.

“Now we need you to show your support. Whether you donate to our prize draw, enter our hospitality raffle, buy the matchday programme or simply drop a few pounds in one of our buckets on Saturday – it all helps us make a difference in this city."

With less than a week until the game, the Foundation has announced more about the activities happening at St Mary’s on Saturday and detailed how fans can show their support.

In the build-up, fans can enter the Saints Foundation Matchday prize draw, where a £5 ticket puts you in the mix to win a Box for Good Friday football.

The lucky winner will kick off Easter weekend in style with 10 spots in a hospitality Box when Saints welcome Middlesborough on 29 April.

All of the money you enter into the prize draw goes to Saints Foundation.

The more times you enter, the more chance you’ve got of winning, and the more life-changing funds are raised for Saints Foundation.

The Saints Foundation Matchday is all about celebrating the 5,000+ Sotonians from all walks of life who have reached for a helping hand in the past year.

Hundreds of Saints Foundation participants will be coming to St Mary’s on Saturday, with pupils from Saints Foundation’s partner Community Champion schools going behind the scenes with everyone from the PA announcer and the media team to our hospitality hosts and the kitman.

Young people from a variety of Foundation projects will take to the pitch immediately before kick-off to form a guard of honour for the squad, while pupils on the Primary Stars programme will be facing off in the half-time relay.

Primary school pupils have contributed to a Saints Foundation takeover of the matchday programme, with 50p of every copy sold donated to the Foundation.

Senior Saints will be shaking buckets around St Mary’s, encouraging donations by sharing how their engagement with us has improved their health and wellbeing.

Away from general admission, guests in hospitality spaces can enter an exclusive raffle to win a framed limited edition Saints Foundation shirt signed by the men’s first team.

After the final whistle has blown, all the limited edition Foundation shirts worn by the squad will be auctioned off, with 100% of the proceeds donated back to the charity.
