SAINTS defender Ryan Manning has been added to the Republic of Ireland squad as a late call-up ahead of their home friendlies.
The left-back did not make interim manager John O'Shea's initial squad due to suffering from illness.
The former Manchester United defender confirmed that Manning's situation was being monitored and that he could be added to the camp should he feel better.
Having recovered, Manning will now link up with Saints teammates Gavin Bazunu and Will Smallbone ahead of facing Belgium and Switzerland.

A statement from the FAI confirmed that the 27 year old will train with his international teammates today.
Ireland are set to take on fourth-ranked Belgium at the Aviva Stadium on Saturday evening - a game which could mark Manning's 10th cap.
The former Swansea defender has made 33 appearances for Southampton this season since arriving on the south coast.
