SAINTS manager Russell Martin refused to elaborate on the worrying circumstances involving substitute Kamaldeen Sulemana.
However, the boss did confirm the 22 year old, who continued to play on after the incident, is "fine" to ease concerns.
Kamaldeen appeared to be knocked out cold in the 86th minute of the Cardiff match following a collision with Stuart Armstrong in the box.
Teammate Jan Bednarek rushed over to the Ghanaian and rolled him into the recovery position while medical staff raced onto the pitch.
Kamaldeen began to show signs of consciousness again and after a delay of more than three minutes, the match continued.
Saints had used all five of their substitutions but could have been able to make a further change due to concussion protocol rules.
However, Kamaldeen continued to play and completed the fixture, which went on until the 104th minute due to an injury to Stuart Armstrong.
Asked about Kamaldeen after the match, Martin simply responded: "He's fine."
Asked what happened to cause Kamaldeen's state and the level of concern, Martin responded: "I don't know. He's fine."
When it was suggested he looked as though he would be unable to continue, Martin said: "He did continue.
"I don't know, mate. He's fine. He's completely fine."
Midfielder S Armstrong was recently ruled out of the visit to Blackburn Rovers due to the concussion protocol.
Armstrong had played on after a collision at Ipswich Town before entering the protocol and therefore sitting out for seven days.
