MANCHESTER United boss Erik ten Hag admitted he is "looking forward" to working with former Southampton chief Jason Wilcox.
Wilcox quit his post as Saints director of football earlier this month in order to join the Red Devils as technical director.
He joined Saints in the summer, only spending nine months on the south coast before making a return to the Premier League.
A fee equivalent to a year's salary was rejected by Saints and Wilcox would have seen out a 12-month notice period if no agreement was found.
Reports suggest that Wilcox's first job at United is to undertake a review of the Dutch manager's coaching ability and dressing room relations.
When asked about the 53 year old's arrival, ten Hag explained he is aware of Wilcox's football credentials and is excited to work with him.
He said: "I met him on Monday for the first time. We will have some talks. We don't have too much time this week but from Monday on we will go forward.
"I know his profile. I know his merits in youth football. He has a lot of experience there. He's had a year at Southampton. I am looking forward to our partnership."
