AHEAD of the summer transfer window opening next month, transfer rumours are already beginning to swirl.
Most links to Saints are for outgoing players, with the uncertainty of playoffs ahead for Russell Martin's side.
The club have two budgets they are working towards, depending on whether they are a Premier League or Championship club.
Either way, there are expected to be a number of departures from St Mary's with players out of contract and already out on loan.
Here are the latest rumours...
Armel Bella-Kotchap price tag has been set
As reported by the Daily Echo previously, Armel Bella-Kotchap is likely to exit Saints permanently in the summer transfer window.
That will depend on whether the club can spin a profit on the German international, having signed him for £10million in summer 2022.
Bella-Kotchap, 22, has missed most of this season after surgery on a persistent shoulder injury but is fit and back playing again.
Fabrizio Romano has reported that the price tag for Bella-Kotchap is set at 20 million Euros, or just over £17million.
Premier League club continues to pursue Che Adams
Che Adams is out of contract this summer and heading for the exit door after failing to sign a new deal offered to him by the club.
The Scotland international striker has scored 15 goals in the Championship this season with Premier League sides circling.
Everton have resurfaced again as a potential suitor in an Independent report this week, and are said to be leading the race.
Other clubs such as AFC Bournemouth and Wolves have expressed interest in signing the 27 year old in the last year.
Saints among sides interested in Coventry star
Coventry City attacking midfield Callum O'Hare is another Championship star out of contract this summer.
The 25 year old Aston Villa academy graduate is said to be on Southampton's radar but they will face stern competition to sign him.
West Ham, Villa and Fulham are all also said to be interested in the latest report on The Sun, which expresses O'Hare is likely to move.
O'Hare scored against Manchester United in their historic FA Cup semi-final clash earlier this month, which the Red Devils won on penalties.
Paul Onuachu negotiations ongoing
Turkish side Trabzonspor want to keep Nigerian striker Paul Onuachu, who has scored 12 goals in 18 league appearances.
Reports from the continent have suggested intense negotiations are continuing over the future of the six-foot seven-inch star.
Onuachu cost Saints around £15milliion to sign in January 2023 but he only made a handful of appearances for the club.
One report this week claimed Onuachu will return to Saints until a club can be found, while a newer report says another loan could take place.
Either way, Trabzonspor want to sign Onuachu and his future at St Mary's is unlikely - regardless of his eventual destination.
