He twice denied Grady Diangana what would have been an important winner during the 0-0 draw at the Hawthorns.
A recent report from Mail Sport suggests that Celtic could look to replace the retiring Joe Hart with Southampton's McCarthy.
The two-time England international is out of contract in the summer and would be available on a free transfer.
The report also notes that a number of teams in Saudi Arabia are "showing interest" in the veteran keeper.
