SAINTS continue to be linked with dozens of new names after their promotion to the Premier League last week.

The St Mary's side will be in the market for improvements to their squad with the top-flight millions available to spend this summer.

The Daily Echo has already reported progress in the signing of Adam Lallana, 36, as well as attempts to capture Ryan Fraser and Flynn Downes.

We have also confirmed that Saints have Sunderland winger Jack Clarke on a list of targets they could pursue this summer.

Here are the latest rumours surrounding Saints from media outlets elsewhere...

Interest to be re-ignited in signing Armando Broja?

Saints are reportedly interested in re-signing Chelsea striker Armando Broja, according to a report in TBR Football.

They detail that Chelsea are keen to move on the Albanian international after injuries and limited game time have stalled his development.

The Blues wanted £50million for him last summer but are said to be willing to take less than half of that amount.

The report insists Broja would be keen on returning to St Mary's, where he scored six Premier League goals in 32 appearances in 2021/22.

Wolves and Everton have also reportedly expressed interest in the 22 year old.

Saints make offer to sign German midfielder from Bundesliga

Saints have reportedly made a 'lucrative' offer for 30 year old Werder Bremen midfielder Leonardo Bittencourt.

Bittencourt has 12 months left on his contract at the Bundesliga outfit, where he has played since joining in 2019.

Bittencourt, a former German under-21 international, entered the youth system at Energie Cottbus before signing for Borussia Dortmund as a teenager.

Bittencourt is a versatile attacking midfielder who has scored 18 goals and provided 13 assists in 140 appearances for his current side.

German publication BILD report that Saints have made a 'lucrative' offer to sign the experienced operator, who has featured in the Champions League.

Premier League tussle for Feyenoord striker - with Saints named

Saints have been named alongside Tottenham, Liverpool and Leeds - who they beat in the playoff final - in a new report.

Mexican publication Futbol Total says all those clubs want to sign Argentina-born Feyenoord striker Santi Giminez.

The 23 year old already represents Mexico internationally and scored 23 goals in 30 Eredivisie matches for his club this season.

Giminez also scored a brace in a Champions League match against Lazio in September, in which he was named man of the match in a 3-1 win.

The forward is said to be keen on a move to the Premier League this summer, while manager Arne Slot has become Liverpool boss.

Saints taking a key man from their Wembley opponents?

Saints are being linked with a move for defender Joe Rodon, after he was on the losing side of the Championship playoff final last week.

Rodon, 26, was on loan at Leeds from Tottenham and a permanent exit from the London outfit looks likely this summer.

TEAMtalk suggest Saints are interested in the Welsh international, despite already sealing the £20million signing of Taylor Harwood-Bellis.

Rodon came through the academy at Swansea but departed in 2020, before current Saints boss Russell Martin took charge.

The same report suggests Leeds could still make a permanent move for Rodon too, despite staying in the Championship for another season.
