SAINTS ace Joe Aribo joked playing with Will Smallbone and Flynn Downes is so good he starts "daydreaming" in midfield.
The three formed a formidable unit in the middle of the park for Saints as they secured promotion back to the Premier League.
The trio played every minute of Southampton's three play-off games, culminating in their 1-0 win over Leeds United in the final.
Academy hero Smallbone played a starring role in the opposition box, scoring against West Brom and setting up Adam Armstrong at Wembley.
Speaking to the Daily Echo, Aribo said: "Yeah, well, the other two, they're amazing.
"I mean, sometimes I'm on the pitch and I'm just watching them and I just get lost," he joked.
"I'm like daydreaming just watching them because they're honestly so good.
"There is so much energy in and out of possession from all of us. It's amazing to play with them."
Smallbone and Aribo are set to be key again for Saints next season in the Premier League, while Flynn Downes may return.
Manager Russell Martin will pursue the West Ham United loanee on a permanent basis but they must agree a fee with the Hammers.
Aribo was in and out of the team and Smallbone was away on loan at Stoke City during last season's relegation.
