FRESH reports have linked Saints with forwards Ben Brereton Diaz and Liam Delap, after interest in previous transfer windows.
The St Mary's side are looking to bring in attacking reinforcements this summer following promotion to the Premier League.
Saints have Sunderland winger Jack Clarke on a list of potential targets, with new names regularly surfacing elsewhere.
Saints were linked with both Villarreal's Brereton Diaz, 25, and Man City's Delap, 21, in the past 12 months.
The Sun now report that the pair are back on the list of potential targets this summer.
Chilean international Brereton Diaz scored six Premier League goals in 15 matches on loan at Sheffield United since January last season.
His efforts were unable to keep the Blades from the drop, with the newly promoted outfit finishing bottom on just 16 points.
The former Blackburn Rovers man has failed to score in 20 appearances for his Spanish side since a free transfer in 2023.
Delap, meanwhile, scored eight goals in 31 matches for Hull City as the Tigers finished just outside the playoff spots.
Man City reportedly rejected a bid worth £16million from Saints for Delap in 2022, when the youngster was Premier League 2's most lethal finisher.
He has since gained 68 matches of Championship experience on loan but recorded only 12 goals and two assists in that time.
Saints revealed they are still in talks with Che Adams over an extension to his Saints contract, which is set to expire this month.
The Scotland international has been linked with a move to Wolves, who are said to be in discussions with the 27 year old.
