HAMPSHIRE youngsters Eddie Jack and Dom Kelly have been selected by England under-19s for their three-game one-day international series against Sri Lanka later this month.
The academy prospects are part of a 16-player squad and are two of nine players who were a part of the winter’s ICC under-19 World Cup in South Africa.
Essex's Luc Benkenstein will captain the side as Ben McKinney, who was captain at the World Cup, and Hamza Shaikh have not been considered.
There is the option for them to appear in the three-day first-class county select side's match against West Indies in July.
Rocky Flintoff, who is the son of former England hero Andrew Flintoff, is also included in the squad.
England under-19s head coach, Mike Yardy said: "We have selected an exciting squad for the series.
"(There is) a blend of some players who are currently playing in the Vitality Blast and some younger players for whom it will be their first time in an under-19s squad.
"As always, it’s a great opportunity for the players to perform in an England under-19 shirt and to experience international cricket."
The under-19s will play a warm-up match, a three-game ODI series, and two test matches - with the squad for that announced later this month.
