HAMPSHIRE Hawks' Vitality Blast match against Glamorgan in Cardiff on Thursday was abandoned without a ball bowled, due to heavy rain.
The bad weather had already wiped out the Charlotte Edwards Cup match between Western Storm and Thunder and the umpires made the call to abandon the game at 7:30PM.
Both Glamorgan and Hampshire came into the game with two wins and two losses and would have been hoping for a positive result to keep them in the hunt for quarter-final places.
Unfortunately, the rain did not stop for long enough for the teams to get the encounter underway and both teams left with a point a piece.
Hampshire will now host Middlesex at the Utilita Bowl on Friday evening, while Glamorgan’s next match will be on Sunday against Somerset in Taunton.
