Saints Foundation has rebranded its community initiative, Active Through Football, as SO14 Active, to better reflect the diversity of activities and audiences it serves in central Southampton.

The program organises recreational sports sessions, aiming to improve health and wellbeing.

With the start of World Refugee Week, Mixed gender sessions for refugees and asylum seekers aged 16+ are held in either St Mary's Leisure Centre or Hoglands Park.

As part of Pride Month, an LGBTQIA+ football session takes place at St Mary’s Leisure Centre for mixed genders aged 16+. Lastly, the Women’s Fun Fit group, for women aged 18+, is held at the Northam Centre.

Jess Hulbert, Saints Foundation senior health coordinator, said: "The project has been about more than football for a long time, and SO14 Active reflects that.

"We are proud to offer a variety of exercise and sport sessions for a range of groups, ability levels, and accessibility needs."
