SAINTS received over £150million from selling players last summer, vital funds following their relegation from the Premier League.
That money helped the club alleviate the financial implications that come with relegation to the Championship.
The money also helped them rebuild the squad in Russell Martin's image ahead of winning promotion back to the Premier League via the playoffs.
Here's a look at how every player Saints sold last summer did during the 2023/24 season...
James Ward-Prowse
After 20 years at the club, James Ward-Prowse departed St Mary's in August, joining Premier League side West Ham.
The Southampton academy graduate got off to a lightning-quick start to life in claret and blue, scoring twice and registering nine assists in his first 16 games across all competitions.
Although his goal contributions declined later in the season - he only managed one goal and two assists in his final 16 games - the 29 year old has enjoyed a rather successful first season in London.
In total, he ended his first year at West Ham with seven goals and 11 assists from 51 games. The Hammers reached the Europa League quarter-finals and finished ninth in the league.
Speaking on the Fozcast, Ward-Prowse admitted he hoped his move to West Ham would help him break back into Gareth Southgate's England squad.
However, he did not make the cut for this summer's European Championship in Germany.
Nathan Tella
Winger Nathan Tella has enjoyed by far the most successful season of any player sold by Saints in 2023.
Having helped Burnely achieve promotion to the Premier League, the 24 year old drew the eye of Bayer Leverkusen.
His departure was disappointing for supporters given that he had already started the Championship season by scoring once and providing one assist.
However, since departing Tella has only lost one game for Bayer Leverkusen - their Europa League final against Fiorentina.
The Nigerian international became an invincible Bundesliga champion and DFB Pokal winner under Xabi Alonso.
Tella scored six times and provided five assists across his 39 appearances for the German outfit.
Tino Livramento
Full-back Tino Livramento had to be patient for his first start at Newcastle following his move up north.
After a few substitute appearances, Livramento made his full league debut in a 4-1 win over his former academy side Chelsea.
Since then, he has become a regular in Eddie Howe's starting lineup, switching between right-back and left-back.
An ankle injury saw him miss a few games at the tail end of a season which saw him gain experience in the Champions League.
The 21 year old received plaudits for his group-stage performance against eventual runners-up Borussia Dortmund.
Romeo Lavia
Young midfielder Romeo Lavia's first season at Chelsea has been plagued with bad luck and injury setbacks.
He arrived at Chelsea for around £58million after a summer-long transfer saga which saw Liverpool take on Todd Boehly's side for the Belgian's signature.
Having joined the Blues off the back of a breakout campaign at Saints, Lavia would have been hoping to make a splash.
However, his substitute appearance against Crystal Palace in December 2023 remains his final outing after a hamstring injury cut his season short.
The 20 year old recently shared a video of him training during the off-season as he continues to work his way back to full fitness.
Mislav Orsic
Another who has suffered from injury since leaving the South Coast is Mislav Orsic.
No sooner than the Croatian arrived at Trabzonspor, he suffered a serious knee injury, causing him to miss the majority of the season.
He eventually made his debut in April, coming on in a 3-1 win over Konyaspor and has since made five more appearances from the bench.
His injury issues saw him miss out on a spot in Croatia's EURO 2024 squad.
Mohammed Salisu
Ghanaian defender Mohammed Salisu joined AS Monaco on a permanent transfer last summer for a fee of around £20million.
In keeping with the theme of injuries, his first season in Ligue 1 was rather stop-start as several knocks halted any potential momentum.
He missed the first 13 games with an adductor problem before suffering a hamstring injury in January after establishing himself as a starter.
In total, he made 12 league appearances for Monaco as they finished second place, nine points behind PSG.
Moussa Djenepo
Winger Moussa Djenepo departed Saints for Standard Liege after the English transfer window had closed.
After four seasons on the south coast, the Malian did not appear to be a part of Russell Martin's plans.
His sole competitive appearance under the retired defender came in their disastrous 3-1 defeat at Gillingham in the EFL Cup.
Although a return to Belgium has seen his onfield action increase, his fortunes at Standard Liege have not reached the levels he would have anticipated.
After finishing 10th in the regular season, Standard Liege ended the Conference League playoff group stage bottom of the table, seeing them miss out on European football.
Djenepo managed just one goal across his 28 league appearances, his sole strike coming in a 2-1 defeat against Union Saint-Gilloise in February.
Ibrahima Diallo
In his first four appearances for Qatari side Al-Duhail, Ibrahima Diallo scored three times and provided one assist. However, three months separated his third and fourth outing in the Qatari Stars League.
After that bright but stop-start beginning to his time in the Middle East, Diallo, a former French youth international, is yet to score another goal for Christophe Galtier's side.
Al-Duhail, who had former Liverpool and Barcelona star Philippe Coutinho among their ranks, finished sixth in the table, 16 points behind Lyanco's Al-Gharafa, who finished third.
