SAINTS academy defender Lewis Payne, 20, has joined Cheltenham Town on a season-long loan.
The young full-back will gain further experience in senior football after making 41 appearances in the previous campaign with League Two side Newport County.
Payne will return to the same division with Cheltenham, who were relegated from League One last season and are looking for an immediate return to the third tier.
A Saints statement added: "The club wishes Lewis all the best and looks forward to monitoring his progress."
