SAINTS Women have announced the signing of midfielder Aimee Palmer as their sixth summer signing ahead of the 2024/25 campaign.
The two-time Barclays Women's Championship winner arrives on the South Coast with a wealth of experience across the top two divisions.
After starting life at Bristol City, the 24 year old made her senior debut in 2017 as a teenager when she featured in the WSL Spring Series that year.
She went on to make 18 appearances before joining newly-formed Manchester United in 2018, where she played 15 games in their title winning 2018/19 season.
A loan to Championship Sheffield United followed, before Palmer made a return to Bristol City where, after initially suffering relegation from the WSL, she helped them make a return to the top flight.
Palmer's second Championship title came with the Robins in the 22/23 campaign, before she joined Leicester City for one season.
Looking to bring her experience to the side, Palmer said "I'm really excited to finally get it over the line, I'm really happy to be here and I can't wait to get the boots on and get started."
"Towards the end of the previous season I said to my agent, it's Southampton or no-one if I'm coming down to the [Championship].
“It's been a club I've always admired how they play so I'm excited to get going."
Head Coach Remi Allen added, "I'm really pleased to welcome Aimee to the club and add her experience and quality to the group ahead of this season.
"She's still young but she already knows exactly what it takes to win promotion from this league and survive in the WSL, which matches our ambition for the future of this club."
