A college student is celebrating a top hockey honour.
First-year Barton Peveril Sixth Form College student, Emma Boddington, earned a distinction with the England Girls Colleges Hockey Squad 2023-24.
The meets took place across the UK in Telford, Leigh Valley, Portsmouth, and Cardiff on various dates.
Emma achieved her success by influencing all four national meets, securing the esteemed Player's Player award for the season.
She is not only a sports star, studying a Criminology Level three Diploma, Physical Education A Level, and Psychology A Level, but also participates in the Women’s Hockey Q-XTRA programme, whilst being a part of the Talented Athlete Scheme (TASS) Q-XTRA.
Rob Temple, Principal of Barton Peveril, commented on Emma’s success, stating: "Emma has demonstrated outstanding dedication to her sport and we are thrilled to see her hard work recognised on such a prestigious platform.
"We are incredibly proud of her accomplishments and wish her all the best in the future"
