DETAILS for Southampton's trip to Cardiff City in the second round of this season's Carabao Cup have been confirmed.
Russell Martin's side will head to Wales on Wednesday, August 28, for a 7:45pm kick off, as Saints begin their cup campaign.
The two sides met as recently as April, where hosts Cardiff came from behind to win towards the end of the regular Championship season.
Last season's reverse saw a 2-0 win at St Mary's Stadium in December with top scorer Adam Armstrong grabbing a brace.
Saints enter the second round stage alongside the 12 other Premier League teams not in European competition, as well as Luton Town and Burnley.
A club statement adds: "Ticket information and sales windows will follow in due course."
