SAINTS are interested in Feyenoord and Netherlands goalkeeper Justin Bijlow, the Daily Echo understands.

Southampton are tracking several options in England and abroad as they look to provide more competition for Alex McCarthy's number-one spot.

Polish goalkeeper Mat Lis could seal a return to Sport Republic sister club Goztepe, which should open the door for another shot-stopper to arrive at St Mary's.

Bijlow, 26, made 17 league appearances during the 2023/24 season as Feyenoord finished second in the Eredivisie behind PSV.

He suffered two separate injuries last campaign, which saw him miss more than 20 games, and has been named on the bench for their first two games of this season.

Reports in the Netherlands have suggested that an offer has been made for the Feyenoord academy graduate.

Bijlow has earned eight caps for his country since making his debut in 2021 and was a part of their squad at this summer's European Championships in Germany.
