SAINTS take on fellow promoted side Ipswich Town on Saturday with both sides still searching for their first win.

Kieran McKenna's Tractor Boys have got off to a better start in the Premier League, earning two points from the first four games.

Saints are still yet to record a point but will take confidence from their Carabao Cup win over Everton on Tuesday evening.

Saints will be without club captain Jack Stephens, who is suspended, while Kamaldeen Sulemana and Will Smallbone are still out injured.

Here's how we think Martin will lineup as he looks to secure Southampton's first win of the season against Ipswich at St Mary's...

Goalkeeper

Aaron Ramsdale should return between the sticks despite Alex McCarthy's heroics in the Carabao Cup.

Ramsdale made seven saves against Manchester United, preventing Erik ten Hag's side from reaching four or five goals.

Just like Ramsdale, full-backs Yukinari Sugawara and Kyle Walker-Peters were left at home for Tuesday's game but will return from the start on Saturday.

Jan Bednarek will keep his spot at centre-back and should be partnered by Taylor Harwood-Bellis, fresh off his goal against Everton in his first game as captain.

Midfielders

Flynn Downes remains instrumental to Southampton's side in the Premier League and will start at the base of midfield against his former club.

Veteran midfielder Adam Lallana impressed during his first start of the season at Everton before being withdrawn. The energetic Mateus Fernandes should play alongside him

Teenager Tyler Dibling has been Southampton's most dangerous attacker and should start again.

Summer signings Ben Brereton Diaz and Cameron Archer started on the bench at Everton on Tuesday but should return to the starting XI.
