FORMER Saints forward Che Adams scored for the third consecutive game following his summer move to Torino.

Adams hit his fourth goal of the season in Torino's 3-2 defeat to Lazio on Sunday.

The 28 year old allowed his contract to run out at Southampton, allowing him to join Italian side Torino on a free transfer.

The Scottish international has made a quick start to life in Serie A, scoring three goals in his first six league games.

On his decision to move to Italy, Adams told the BBC: "I wanted to come out here because I've not necessarily had a normal footballing career.

"I want to look back with no regrets, knowing I've maximized everything I could.

"It's scary. It's real-life stuff, especially if you have little kids. You have little doubts if you've made the right decision. If it's the best for the family.

"It was really hard - just changing our whole lives - and leaving is normal for a footballer, but your partner has to pick up all the pieces.

"Everyone knows football is a short career and I don't want to look back on it when I'm retired and think: 'Oh, I wish I'd done that or I wish I'd done that'.

"To only have played in England or to play for one club - some people obviously want that in terms of security and stability.

"I came up the non-league way, and I've always fought my way in and had a different experience."

Adams scored 17 goals across 46 appearances for Southampton as they won promotion via the Championship play-offs.
