SAINTS face a difficult trip to Arsenal on Saturday - a game made more tricky by their poor start to the Premier League campaign.

Russell Martin's side are one of five winless teams in the league and find themself on one point from their first six games.

They will be looking for a marked improvement on their performance from Monday evening at neighbours AFC Bournemouth, even against a tough side in Arsenal.

Mikel Arteta's charges are aiming to win the Premier League this season and come into Saturday's game off the back of a 2-0 win over PSG. Here's how we predict Saints will line up...

Goalkeeper

Aaron Ramsdale will return to the Emirates having left Arsenal to join Saints on a permanent transfer this summer.

He will be hoping for improved fortunes having conceded 10 goals in his first four games, however, he could be in for another busy afternoon against title contenders.

Aar
Defenders

Yukinari Sugawara should be nailed on to keep his starting spot at right-back while Charlie Taylor has impressed since coming in from the start on the left.

Martin's decision at centre-back has been made easier by Jack Stephens getting a further two-game ban - Taylor Harwood-Bellis and Jan Bednarek will keep their spot.

Midfielder

Current captain Flynn Downes is nailed on to start and should be partnered by veteran Adam Lallana if he is fit to start.

Joe Aribo's substitute cameo was a rare bright spot against Bournemouth and he should come back into the starting lineup as a result.

Forwards

Saints abandoned their front three system on Monday and looked light up front as a result. Martin said he would start a number nine and that should be Cameron Archer.

Teenager Tyler Dibling should return to the right wing while Ben Brereton Diaz could return on the left, despite his tough start to life at Saints.

Full predicted team:

(4-3-3) Ramsdale; Sugawara, Bednarek, Harwood-Bellis, Taylor; Downes, Lallana, Aribo; Dibling, Brereton Diaz, Archer.
