A Southampton fan is urging Saints and Everton fans to join him in a ticket pricing protest ahead of kick off at St Mary's on Saturday.

Mark Harpur, a season ticket holder from Thornhill, has joined the national Stop Exploiting Loyalty campaign by the Football Supporters Association.

It aims to shine a light on unacceptably high ticket prices in football and also on the erosion of concession pricing at some clubs, particularly for seniors.

Saints Disabled Supporters Association committee member Mark, who travels home and away with the club, joined Manchester City fans as they unfurled a banner outside The Etihad last weekend at the same time as others at Premier League grounds around the country.

Southampton FC is not being specifically criticised over the football-wide issue.

Mark, who previously took part in the 'Twenty's plenty' campaign, which led to a £30 cap on away tickets in the Premier League, said: "Although the campaign is about ticket pricing, it is also being staged to show unity across the different clubs supporters groups."

It will take place at the Ted Bates statue at 1.30pm.
