SAINTS welcome Everton to St Mary's on Saturday for what can only be described as a must-win Premier League game.

Saints are on one point so far this season - they have only won in the cup so far this season, including a penalty shootout victory over Everton.

Russell Martin revealed several Southampton players were suffering from a virus during midweek but hoped to have them back to face Sean Dyche's side.

Martin is expected to provide an update on health and fitness on Friday. Here's how we predict Saints will lineup to face the Toffees at St Mary's...

Aaron Ramsdale is still waiting to earn his first clean sheet in a Southampton shirt having conceded two against Stoke City on Tuesday evening.

A home game against Everton, who are unbeaten in their last five games, would be the perfect place to start.

Kyle Walker-Peters was rested on Tuesday while Yukinari Sugawara played 90 - perhaps an indication that the former will start. Jack Stephens is a no-brainer in Martin's eyes.

If the club captain starts at left-back, that will allow Jan Bednarek and Taylor Harwood-Bellis to continue their partnership in the heart of defence.

Flynn Downes was one of the players suffering from a virus according to Martin but the boss hopes to have him fit in time for Saturday.

Summer signing Mateus Fernandes has nailed on his spot in midfield and should be partnered by Adam Lallana.

Teenager Tyler Dibling was given a rest midweek which should hopefully provide him with the energy needed to cause Everton's backline problems.

Cameron Archer endured a difficult Tuesday evening but will probably still start. Although stronger on the right, Adam Armstrong could play off the left after scoring against Stoke.
