SAINTS fans have expressed their disappointment at the club’s ticket pricing for the Carabao Cup quarter-final clash with Liverpool in December.
Some supporters suggested they would “rather watch on TV” after Saints revealed adult ticket pricing will start at £30, not including the booking fee.
Saints reached the semi-final of the cup two seasons ago, beating Man City at home in the quarter-final. Adult tickets for that fixture started at £20.
Saints host Premier League leaders Liverpool on Wednesday, December 18 (8pm), in front of the Sky Sports cameras for a place in the last four.

The match comes seven days before Christmas and is one of seven fixtures in December, including four at home. Here is how some fans reacted...
£30 is a bit of a joke. Plus as a ST holder I would like to buy more than one when I get mine. Why can't we get max 2 in the first window? I've got a friend who wants to come, but waiting a week to get her ticket means I might not get it next to me. Just seems weird.

£30 "discounted" prices for a midweek, Carabao cup tie, right before Christmas...

Opportunity missed by the club to fill the stadium with Saints fans!
Guess most will stay at Ho,Ho, Home... 🎅#saintsfc #carabaocup https://t.co/b2A4fLDrRe
£30 is steep for a cupgame tbh.

Not gonna lie but that’s a bit steep considering how this seasons been going. #saintsfc might just watch it on sky.

Some supporters have expressed concerns that Liverpool supporters will buy tickets in the home ends - but purchases will require a Saints booking history.
The announcement comes days after a Football Supporters' Association campaign protest landed outside St Mary's against rising ticket prices was joined by Matt Le Tissier.
“I think for far too long football has taken advantage of the loyalty of fans, knowing whatever price they stick on it they’re going to pay it," said Le Tissier.
