SAINTS fans appear to be edging closer to unanimous agreement that manager Russell Martin's tenure at the club is on borrowed time.

Martin's side suffered the misfortune of two controversial VAR decisions going against them in the 2-0 defeat at relegation rivals Wolves.

However, that has not stopped Saints fans from feeling they are underperforming, having picked up just four points from 11 Premier League matches.

Martin has enjoyed a strong relationship with a section of the Saints support after he got the club promoted out of the Championship in his first season.

But many let their feelings be known in the wake of the defeat at Molineux, with two weeks until their next fixture. This is how they reacted...

On the Daily Echo website, Aberdeen Saint said: "Rasmus and RM must go NOW! Sports Republic are not fit to be the custodians of our club."

Dante7thlevel commented: "70% possession and NO shots on target. RM has to go now. We have become a joke - a keepy-uppy team who can't shoot straight."

Nunnerr added: "When exactly will SR pull the plug on this nonsense? Embarrassing listening to pundits on TV and Radio all saying the same thing."

On social media site X, formerly Twitter, supporters added:

Not everyone agrees that another managerial sacking is the way forward, posing the question - who could effectively replace the promotion winner?

Swissowned said: "I think that’s probably going to be time up for RM after that result. I can’t see who will be interested in taking over that would likely do any better."
