PAKISTAN men’s Test captain Shan Masood will play for Hampshire Hawks in the upcoming inaugural Global Super League in Guyana.
Masood led Pakistan to a 2-1 Test series victory against England in October, where he scored a century in the first match.
The left-handed opener has played for Derbyshire and Yorkshire previously in county cricket, having scored a total of 947 runs averaging 31.56 across three seasons in the T20 Blast.
In the Pakistan Super League (PSL), Masood has scored 1476 runs in 53 matches, with nine half-centuries, for Multan Sultans and Karachi Kings.
Masood has been capped 19 times for Pakistan in IT20 cricket, where he’s scored 39 runs with a best of 65* coming against England in 2022.
Hampshire Hawks kick off their GSL campaign on Wednesday, November 27, against Bangladesh’s Rangpur Riders, who feature Italy’s Wayne Madsen, England’s Zak Chappell, and West Indies’ Matthew Forde.
They will then play Pakistan’s Lahore Qalandars on Saturday, November 30, (2pm GMT) before a contest against Guyana Amazon Warriors the next day at 11pm GMT.
The Hawks’ final group match against Victoria has been moved forward to Thursday, December 5, at 2pm GMT, with the final now set to take place on Friday, December 6, at 11pm GMT.
