HAMPSHIRE Cricket has announced a partnership with local shipping and logistics company, Geest Line, for the inaugural Global Super League.
The GSL will take place in Guyana, South America from November 26 to December 7 with Hawks being one of five teams from across the world competing for a $1 million prize pot.
Geest Line is a Hampshire company, based in Fareham, and has fostered trade links between the UK and the Caribbean for more than 65 years.
The company carries cargo between Europe and the UK to the Caribbean Islands with a weekly service with their service to Guyana taking 11 days.
Their brand will be present on the Hampshire Hawks’ shirt for the GSL, with their campaign getting underway on November 27.
They take on Bangladesh’s Rangpur Riders before further fixtures against Pakistan’s Lahore Qalanders (November 30), Guyana Amazon Warriors (December 1), and Australia’s Victoria (December 5), with a potential final on December 6.
All of Hampshire's matches will take place at 11pm GMT - except their game against Lahore Qalanders, which will begin at 2pm.
