PREMIER League Saints are set to learn their first opponents of the 2024/25 FA Cup with the third round draw taking place on Monday.

Russell Martin's side reached the fifth round of the competition last campaign before a 3-0 defeat to Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool at Anfield.

They also entered the third round and beat League Two Walsall and Championship rivals Watford in a fourth round replay at St Mary's.

Saints are set to host Liverpool in the quarter-final of the Carabao Cup later this month so could still be competing on three fronts in January.

When is the FA Cup third round draw?

The FA Cup third-round draw is set to take place on Monday, December 2 2024. The live draw is due to take place at around 7pm.

The draw will take place on BBC2 at 7pm broadcasted live from Old Trafford. You can also watch the draw take place on BBC Sport and on BBC iPlayer. 

When will the matches be played?

The third round ties will be played on the weekend of Saturday, January 11 2025. Matches could also be played on Friday, Sunday or Monday.
