Matthew Barney is so determined to secure a British title rematch against Hampshire rival Dean Francis he has offered to fight him for free!
Barney, the former WBU world light-heavyweight and British super-middleweight champion from Southampton targets a fifth straight win when he takes on Michael Gbenga at Watford Town Hall this Friday.
He hopes securing a fifth straight win will take him a step nearer a crack at British light-heavyweight champion Francis – and says the Basingstoke boxer’s promoters Sports Network will not have to pay him for the title challenge.
