SAINTS are due to announce within the next week that their sponsorship deal with FlyBe has been extended.

The airline is the club’s main sponsor and their current contract is due to expire at the end of the season.

The terms are currently being finalised, but a formal announcement is expected within the next couple of days.

Chairman Rupert Lowe said: “We are in advanced negotiations with FlyBe, who are our current shirt sponsor, to extend that contract, which is very exciting for us.

“We’ve got a great relationship with them, they’re obviously our local airline and that’s why it’s worked very well for both of us.

“In today’s uncertain economic climate to be able to extend our existing deal for us is good news.

“We hope within the next seven or eight days to announce something concrete and that’s good news for us.”
