SAINTS are officially top of the table for having the most shots at goal so far this season of all the teams in the Championship.
The Echo can reveal that Jan Poortvliet's side have had 271 shots on goal in 20 games this term, more than any of the other 23 teams in the division.
But Saints have found the net just 18 times and only two teams have scored less – bottom two Doncaster and Nottingham Forest.
