MARK Wotte will hand starts to Jamie White and Paul Wotton in tonight’s reserve match against Aldershot at Staplewood (kick-off 7pm).
Saints have welcomed back White from a loan spell at Shrewsbury, while Wotton returned to the first team as a substitute in Saturday’s 1-0 win at Barnsley after falling out of favour.
They will be part of a strong side fielded by Wotte, as Saints look to consolidate their position at the top of the totesport.com Combination central division.
As well as White and Wotton, the starting line-up will include five other players with first team experience this season – Olly Lancashire, Joseph Mills, Simon Gillett, Ryan Smith and Romain Gasmi.
Saints recorded a 2-0 win against the Shots when the sides met in October and Wotte is hoping for another successful night.
“We won away against them last time and we are looking forward to the match,” he said.
“Paul Wotton is back and he will be having a go, Simon Gillett needs to play and Olly Lancashire will play too.
“Jamie White I am very pleased to have back.
“I like Jamie, he did a great job for me in the reserves, he had a good month at Shrewsbury, he scored once, and it will be good to have him back.
“We need goalscorers and Jamie White is a goalscorer.
“(Marek) Saganowski is back, which is good for us, but if Jamie is on fire like he was before he went on loan he might knock on the door.
“It’s good to have him available, especially when Matt Paterson is suspended.”
Wotte will include defenders Jeffrey Imudia and Kyle Davies, who is flying to America after the game to play for the United States’ Under-20 side against Trinidad & Tobago, on the bench.
The rest of the substitutes were due to be decided after the FA Youth Cup game against Watford.
Saints: Forecast, Hatch, Lancashire, Wotton, Mills, Gillett, Pulis, Smith, Boyle, Gasmi, White.
