Unlike many footballers in the modern age, Andrew Surman is actually pleased nobody has yet made Saints an offer for him.
The midfielder, one of the club’s most prized assets, has been linked with moves to the likes of Fulham, Stoke, Wolves and Reading.
But as yet, halfway through the transfer window, Saints have not received a formal bid for him.
That suits Surman just fine as he continues to insist he is happy at St Mary’s and his focus is solely on the club’s vital three-game run which continues against Doncaster tomorrow.
He said: “I don’t want to be unsettled if there’s no need to be.
“If something happens it happens but, like I’ve said, I’m a Southampton player, I’m happy to be here and I’ll keep doing my best for the team."
