FORMER Southampton schoolboy Brian Stock will be doing his utmost to help Doncaster to three crucial points against Saints this afternoon.
But had events panned out differently, the Winchester-born midfielder could easily have been lining up for Saints.
The 27-year-old Rovers skipper was once a transfer target when Harry Redknapp was in charge at St Mary’s and Stock was at Bournemouth.
Stock, a Saints fan, said news of Redknapp’s interest left him “gobsmacked” at the time.
And he admitted that he was left “gutted” that nothing came of the current Spurs boss’ enquiry.
The former Berrywood and Wildern School pupil, who grew up in Hedge End, is now one of Doncaster’s key players and has recently been linked with a move to the Premiership.
