FRANCIS Benali has backed Saints to win their crucial clash with relegation rivals Doncaster.
The Dell legend, who made 370 appearances for his hometown club, said it was exactly the kind of game he relished as a player.
He is confident the team will rise to the challenge and record back-to-back league wins for only the second time this season. The only other time it has happened, back in September, one of the triumphs was the 2-0 win at Doncaster.
“It will be a Saints win, I’ve got no doubts about that,” he said.
“It goes without saying, the players, the management, the fans, everybody knows the position we are in – not just in the table, but financially as well.
“So it’s a huge game in many ways.
“At the very least, you need to be beating the sides in and around you, which makes it that much more important.
“It’s a game against a team a place below us and the fact we are at home means it’s got to be three points."
