Lee Molyneux believes Saints lost their game against Doncaster in the first half and not the second.
The left back was making his home debut after his January signing on a free transfer and has now seen firsthand the problems Saints have in front of their own fans.
Though Saints conceded twice in the second period, Molyneux felt it was his side’s inability to convert their chances in the first that really ended up hurting them.
He said: “We could have gone in at half time two or three up and kept up our tempo in the second half but unfortunately we’ve let Doncaster into it.
“We got the goal but it was too late although the confidence was still there.
“We were full of confidence and wanted to do it for our fans at home but it wasn’t to be so now we have to look forward to the next game against Norwich and get a result there."
