SAINTS' relegation rivals Norwich have appointed Bryan Gunn as their manager until the end of the season.
The former Canaries' goalkeeper took charge of Saturday's 4-0 win over Barnsley, following the sacking of Glenn Roeder.
Norwich's next Championship match is at home to Saints on Tuesday night.
Gunn will be assisted by ex-Norwich midfielder Ian Crook.
"I'm a very proud man," said Gunn.
"Saturday was an amazing experience and to be given the opportunity whetted my appetite and left me with a serious decision to make.
"I have been very fortunate during my 22-year association with this club to have held a variety of roles, but this is the pinnacle.
"There is still a very difficult job to be done this season but we have a great opportunity to move forward."
