KELVIN Davis hopes Saints can ‘do a Norwich’ against the Canaries tonight.
The 32-year-old goalkeeper, skipper in the absence of the injured Michael Svensson, will lead Saints out at Carrow Road for Mark Wotte’s first game in charge as head coach.
Saints will be up against a Norwich City side well aware of the ‘new manager’ effect.
In their last game, and first under then caretaker manager Bryan Gunn, who has since been named Norwich boss until the end of the season, the Canaries romped to a 4-0 win against Barnsley.
And Davis said: “We would be happy with the result they got when they changed their manager.
“We have seen it before that teams change their manager and it can have that positive effect.
“Sometimes, it doesn’t but we know which way we want it to go.”
