MARK Wotte believed his side “underperformed” in their 1-0 loss against Birmingham today.
Saints slipped further into trouble, as relegation rivals Watford and Blackpool both won, while Plymouth and Nottingham Forest both picked up points.
Keith Fahey’s goal at the end of the first half proved to be the difference at St Andrew’s.
But Wotte was not satisfied with the team’s overall performance, especially when Birmingham were a man down for ten minutes in the first half, as Lee Carsley received treatment for a head wound.
“I think we underperformed a little bit, if you compare it with the last three games,” he said.
